Not even the lack of snow here in Stockholm could stop me from slowly, but surely, drifting into that special pre-holiday state that comes to me every year a few days before Christmas. As always, I packed my bags and headed out to the house where I grew up to spend a few relaxing days with family. Apart from eating and drinking far too much of the good stuff, it’s also the time of the year when I try to catch up on the stockpile of books that I’ve accumulated over the past year.
I also find that this is the perfect time to sit back and do your own little personal ‘2014 Year in Review’. What was great and what did you accomplish? What was not so great, and what can you do about it? Did you meet any new friends? Any travel plans? If not, make some! Because even if you’re sporting one of our watches, time flies, so make sure you make the most of it.
Looking back at our first real year as a watch company, we’re amazed to see just how far we’ve come. From selling out the limited (and now retired) Mistral 40 in record time last spring, to introducing the new Heritage 40 after the summer – it’s been a crazy fun ride. Most important of all, it gives us an incredible sense of pride to know that around the globe, from Singapore to London and from New York to Dubai, people are keeping track of their time with our watches. It gives us an incredible sense of pride, and we want to thank you for being a part of this journey.
We’ve also seen some impressive coverage in international press, and we’re excited to haven taken our blog The Journal and turned it into our very own favourite read. Since our very first post over a year ago, we’ve covered off our favourite foods from both the east and the west, we’ve journeyed to exciting cities including Berlin, Tokyo and Copenhagen, plus had the chance to talk to and interview fascinating people such as local star chef Niklas Ekstedt. If you’re looking for inspiration or the latest news, make sure you bookmark it.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to have even more exciting news to share with you, and we simply cannot wait to hear what you think about it all. Until then, make sure you enjoy and make the most of the last days of 2014.
We look forward to seeing you in the New Year!
